Hotel Delfino Lugano

Great location and service. Loved the breakfast. However rooms were very warm, even with the heat turned off. Given how much we paid, we weren't expecting to pay a sleeping tax. Given how much they charge you for a baby cot, taxes, etc, we'd likely look for a different place next time that was cheaper to account for all the extras. But the rooms were clean and nice, good views, and lovely service.

Loved our stay here. The family suite was perfect for the four of us. And the service was amazing- especially Simon. He and his staff were so attentive, kind, helpful and friendly. The front desk and housekeeping staff had great service. We loved the pool area and dining area too. The price special was perfect for the number of days we needed. All around great stay. Especially if you love the quaint boutique hotel experience.

We stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel is so accommodating. The breakfast was fresh, the pool was clean and wonderful, the rooms were perfect for our needs (including the air conditioning (it was 90 degrees out)) and the balcony was nice. Our favorite part about the stay was being treated so well. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Simon especially made us feel welcome and at home, working through any language barrier we may have had. I can’t recommend the hotel enough. I would give 10 stars if able. Highly recommend.

Worst hotel I have stayed at, cleaning lady came in the room without knocking the door. Then, they took the second blanket and towels after cleaning, even tho I specifically told the front desk I have another person coming so we need two of everything. Even tho most of the stuff that works here are nice, this kind of service is just beyond ridiculous. On the day we were supposed to leave, we told the front desk that we have a train to catch and asked for a taxi, the front desk responded that we should have told them earlier. Our taxi arrived very soon, and she insisted that it’s not for us but for another guest, when we finally just asked the driver, we learnt that it was indeed our taxi. Overall, the hotel is nice, location it not very ideal, but the service we received are sloppy and not professional. Maybe they just treated us differently because we are not white.
